Appendix Carry Skills Class
AIWB: What it is. What it isn’t. How to get the most out of it safely.
This will be an 8 hour live-fire and dry-fire class that will dive deep into how to get the most out of carrying AIWB.
Topics:
• Safety
• Holster and gun selection
• How to wear the holster
• Clothing concerns
• How to safely reholster (make sure the operator is safe)
• Efficient and fast draw stroke
• Retention draw stroke
• Dominant hand only draws
• Seated draw stroke
• Supine draw stroke
• Non Dominant hand only draws
• Dominant hand only reloads
• Non Dominant hand only reloads

This class is all about building technical skill and accuracy at speed with a handgun. Topics covering include but are not limited to the following:

Presentation from both open and concealed carry.

Developing a proper grip by maximizing force on the handgun.

Manipulation of the trigger in order to increase speed and accuracy.

High-speed sight management and understanding what constitutes an acceptable sight picture.

Proven tactics for learning how to overcome anticipation.

Methods of practice in order to prepare for and taking shooting tests.

Performing fast and robust reloads.

Target transitioning at speed.
400 rounds required.
Class will require a reliable semi-automatic handgun, four magazines, 400 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, and note-taking materials.
