
This is a comprehensive overview of the often misunderstood “appendix inside-the-waistband” (AIWB) mode of concealed carry. We’ll teach you what AIWB is, what it isn’t, and how to get the most out of it, safely.
This is an 8-hour live-fire and dry-fire class that dives deep into all the fundamentals and some of the most overlooked aspects of carrying AIWB. Topics will include:
- Safety
- Holster and gun selection
- How to wear the holster; Clothing concerns
- How to safely re-holster into the appendix position (make sure the operator is safe)
- Efficient and fast draw stroke from various positions
- Two-handed and one-handed reloads
For this weekend, students will need…
- Range gear, Ear and Eye protection
- AIWB holster and OWB strong side holster (students who struggle with the AIWB will be asked to switch to OWB)
- Reliable semi auto handgun
- 850 rounds of ammo
- 3 spare mags minimum and at least one mag pouch
- Water/Beverages to stay hydrated
- Chair, sun screen, etc.

This class covers firearms safety, proper grip, trigger control, and stance for firing a handgun both fast and accurately.
We will cover:
-drawing a handgun from a holster and safely reholstering
-target transitions
-basic reloads
-dry practice (we will utilize this to keep the round count down)

-any servicable semi-auto handgun
-250 rounds of ammo
-ear and eye protection
-chair
-snacks and drinks

Note: This will be a combination live and dry fire class that will focus on how, as an individual, you will you most utilize the AIWB carry system.

- How to safely reholster
- Efficient and fast draw stroke actions with two hands
- Drawing while moving; ensuring safety around yourself and beyond the target
- How to move effective and fast while making hits
- Retention draw stroke; when is it applicable and how to close the distance or remain at range from the target
- Dominant hand drawing
- Seated draw stroke
- Stealth draw stroke and why using an AIWB makes this easy and effective
- Non-dominant hand draws

- Breaking down dominant hand reloading actions
