
This is a comprehensive overview of the often misunderstood “appendix inside-the-waistband” (AIWB) mode of concealed carry. We’ll teach you what AIWB is, what it isn’t, and how to get the most out of it, safely.
This is an 8-hour live-fire and dry-fire class that dives deep into all the fundamentals and some of the most overlooked aspects of carrying AIWB. Topics will include:
- Safety
- Holster and gun selection
- How to wear the holster; Clothing concerns
- How to safely re-holster into the appendix position (make sure the operator is safe)
- Efficient and fast draw stroke from various positions
- Two-handed and one-handed reloads
For this weekend, students will need…
- Range gear, Ear and Eye protection
- AIWB holster and OWB strong side holster (students who struggle with the AIWB will be asked to switch to OWB)
- Reliable semi auto handgun
- 850 rounds of ammo
- 3 spare mags minimum and at least one mag pouch
- Water/Beverages to stay hydrated
- Chair, sun screen, etc.

AIWB Instructor Class
This will be an instructor level class for those wanting to understand and teach modern AIWB techniques and procedures. There will be shooting tests such as the FBI Instructor Level Test, the Super Test, and the Keeper Test. There will also be a written test and students will be given topics to brief the class on. A certificate is not guaranteed, the student will need to pass the shooting, written, and lecture portions of the class.

Students will need:
- Range gear, Ear and Eye protection
- Med gear with tourniquet
- Blue/Inert gun replica of the model you plan to use
- AIWB holster (If student cannot demonstrate continuous, safe reholstering they will be allowed to watch the rest of class but will not be allowed to participate).

This is strictly a performance-focused intensive skills class designed to address the smallest nuances of efficiently and safely operating the DA/SA pistol and significantly increase the ability of each individual student to quickly draw his or her handgun and make single and multiple accurate hits on one and more targets. - Developing a proper grip by maximizing force on the handgun.
- Manipulation of the trigger in order to increase speed and accuracy.
- High-speed sight management and understanding what constitutes an acceptable sight picture.
- Proven tactics for learning how to overcome anticipation.
- Methods of practice in order to prepare for and taking shooting tests.
- Performing fast and robust reloads.
- Target transitioning at speed.
400 rounds required.
Class will require a reliable semi-automatic handgun, four magazines, 400 rounds of ammunition, clothing appropriate for season and weather, eye and ear protection, lunch, snacks, and drinks, and note-taking materials.
